The Loss of A "We Believe" Founder!
It is with a heavy heart that I have to share our loss of one of our biggest champions for our WBF mission, Rosemary Quade. First and foremost, she was my great friend, a fabulous mom and commited wife! But in addition, she worked passionately to help raise money for young adults we service. She was true to herself to her last breath, worried about others and fought ferociously until finally breast cancer won and the lord came to bring her home. But before she left us here, she helped create The Pink Hearts of Hope division of our foundation to recognize and support the unique issues younger women have when they journey through a breast cancer battle. We will have our 2nd Pink Hearts of Hope Dinner Dance on Valentine's 2011 (TBA)!

FRIENDS FOUNDATION Supports Just Check Em Program in Fall 2010
We are excited to announce that the Friends Foundation has committed to sponsor 3 local high schools to have our Just Check Em Cancer awareness program. Those schools are South River, Broadneck and Annapolis. The Friends Foundation helps many Annapolis area charities and we are greatful that they have included us on their list! Matt Miller Awarded the AAMC Firesoul Award
Matt was proud to be awarded at the first annual Survivor's Day at Anne Arundel Medical Center the Firesoul Award given to "The one to take a spark of energy and with determination turns that vision into reality" He was surprised and honored to receive this award.

In the spirit of going forward to survivorship for Matt Miller and his desire to help those who come behind him we have changed the name to our foundation name so as to shre our message on a larger scale! Drexel University Hosts the first Univesity Just Check Em Cancer College Level Awareness program
We are please to announce that our partnership with Drexel University Athletics resulted in sharing information to thousands of people at the Drexel v. Penn State game as well as tv coverage on Comcast Sports Network add thousands more to be informed. In addition we funded the We Beleive Philly fund with $1000 from that game! This fund will help a localPhilly AYA with Cancer. DO YOU WANT A LOCAL FUND FOR YOUR AREA? Call and run your own fundraiser and help someone in your area too!
Hearts of Hope Dinner Dance Huge Success
Well it was a sell out night of fabulous entertainment and moving dedication to Women Fighting Breast Cancer. We are please to announce that our first now called Pink Hearts of Hope Fund Valentines event raised $2,500 to begin this fund to assist young women 15-29 battling breast cancer.
Hearts of Hope Tickets on Sale
Join us for an evening of romance in honor of young women battling breast cancer! Featuring lead singer of the Fabulous "Hubcaps", Jimi Simon as well as Washington DC cabaret singer Kristina Granados. This romantic charity evening will be held at the beautiful Renditions Golf Club in Davidsonville Maryland. Dine on your choice of prime rib, crab stuffed flounder or chicken pomodoro! Tickets are $125/couple or $60 for an individual. Cash bar available. All proceeds go to the "Hearts of Hope" award for a deserving young women fighting breast cancer and dedicated to Millerstrong mom's battling this disease, Rosemary Quade and Terri Shaffer
2009 MSLC Announced!
The 2009 Millerstrong Lacrosse Classic will be at a new bigger location, South River High School Stadium in Edgewater, MD on August 1st, 12-5pm and it's FREE to Register! This year we will field two games of Division 1 and MLL players and a youth game in between where once again young laxers will be able to win a spot on the field with the Division 1 and MLL players. We are excited to also announce that our guest speaker this year will be Hopkins head coach, Dave Pietramala! Plus as of today we have committment from two superstars, Kyle Harrison and Paul Rabil. The Auction prizes are even bigger thatn last year, For example we have a time share in Cabo San Lucas! Stay tuned fo more to come or CLICK HERE for FREE registration.
Nov 2008: JUST CHECK program at DeMatha and Gonzaga High Schools
We are excite to announce that in recognition of Matt's 1 year anniversary of diagnosis with TC, Qdoba Mexican Grill sponsered a Testicular Cancer Awarness Day put on by Millerstrong volunteers. The Young men were informed on What to look for, Why to check regularly, and Who to tell. Each received a Shower card explaining how to check and a FREE burrito from Qudoba Mexican Grill for comitting to taking charge of their health. MILLERSTRONG is in the process of doig this program in other schools. If your school would be interested, please contact us at sarah@millerstrong.com. Aug 2008: MILLERSTRONG LACROSSE CLASSIC Raises over $25,000!!!
On Sunday,August 3rd at Crofton Park 65 Top Division One College Lacrosse Players and several MLL players united on the field to play for Teens and Young Adults Conquring Cancer. Together we raised over $25,000 for The We Believe Foundation. We had a beautiful Family day of Fun Great Food, Moonbounce, Great Music and Great Prizes. Thank you to all who made this happen from over 45 volunteers to the corporate sponsors to the kids and their families! Join us again next year for an even bigger event. July 2008:BLACKWOLF LACROSSE partners with MIILERSTRONG - MILLERSTRONG CLINIC JULY 20th
We are excited to announce that Blackwolf Lacrosse a powerful teaching program for the Washington Metropolitan area has partnered with MILLERSTRONG to share our mission to help Teens and Young Adults Conquer Cancer! Meet Matt Miller at their Elite U15 camp this summer. Matt Miller (Drexel Recruit)and Top Attackman Ryan Kotowski (UNC Recruit) among other top coaches and players will be "passing it on" at this powerfull training camp. Through this partnership we both share a strong desire to educate on body awareness for preventative measures, inspiring young men to reach for the stars regardless of thier circumstances, to give 110% when you can so that when & if you can't you don't have to, and to understand the importance of standing up for those who are not able to by giving back to your community. Thanks to BLACKWOLF LACROSSE for joing the MILLERSTRONG movement! Blackwolf is holding a Training Clinic on July 20th that all proceeds will go to this foundation! Matt will be attending and lending his expertise too! See you there!
