WHAT WE DO


What does WE BELIEVE Do?

The “We Believe” Foundation, Inc.’s mission is to be a resource that both raises awareness about adolescent and young adult cancers and provides financial assistance to this group battling cancer through to survivorship. We have 3 objectives:

Assistance
Financial Hardship Awards: * Total awards up to $3500 per applicant per year
- Medical Bills due to cancer for 15– 29 yrs old
- Replacement of lost part-time income for 15-22 year olds
- Up to $50 per week of missed work due to treatment & recovery. Max $1000
- Travel & Lodging Expenses due to Cancer for 15– 29 yr olds
- Academic and Leadership Grants(future plan)

Awareness
- Just Check Program: High School & College program to teach Testicular Cancer awareness. (Future plans to expand to awareness for screening of all cancers for this age group.)
- Millerstrong Lacrosse Classic: Annually honors cancer warriors and promotes cancer awareness through this motivational fundraiser.
- T-Shirts—to inspire living life to the fullest and being aware of your own health - Millerstrong Website - Providing cancer information resources as well as details on WBF.

Advocacy
Working to increase the survivorship rate for this age group through policy and education.

If you are a 15 to 25 year old that is a cancer patient or survivor and are in need of assistance we are currently accepting requests from patients and survivors for both financial and emotional assistance. We would like to know your story and how we can help. Please e-mail us at Sarah@millerstrong.com and share your story and needs and we will gsend you our application right away.

If you are a family member or friend and would like to submit a cancer patient who is in need please feel free to do so. We understand that many times patients are reluctant to ask for help themselves!
