About MillerStrong - The We Believe Foundation

The “We Believe” Foundation, Inc.’s  mission is to be a resource that both raises awareness about adolescent and young adult cancers and provides financial assistance to this group battling cancer through to survivorship. We have 3 objectives:

Assistance:

·          Financial Hardship Awards :

                    - Medical Bills due to cancer for 15– 29 yrs old

                    - Replacement of lost part-time income for 15-22   year olds

  (Up to $50 per week of missed work due to treatment & recovery. Max$1000)

                    - Travel & Lodging Expenses due to Cancer for 15– 29 yr olds

·            Academic and Leadership Grants (future plan)

  * Total awards up to $3500 per applicant per yr.

Awareness:

·          Just Check Program– High School & College program to teach Testicular Cancer awareness. (Future plans to expand to awareness for screening of all cancers for this age group.)

·          Millerstrong Lacrosse Classic -  Annually honors cancer warriors and promotes cancer awareness through this motivational fundraiser.

·          T-Shirts—to inspire living life to the fullest and being aware of your own health

·          Millerstrong Website - Providing cancer information resources as well as details on WBF.

Advocacy:

·          Working to increase the survivorship rate for this age group through policy and education.
